NRC 2007; 2nd conference in Bergen
(16.05.07) Thank you to all speakers, faculty and the engaged audience for attending the 2nd NRC conference in Bergen earlier this week.
Altoghether 85 people spent valuable time together during this conference, while listening to 20 different lecturers from all the Nordic countries and the US.
The varied scientific program together with this nice social occasion to meet and discuss, satisfied and surpassed our expectations, and encourages us to improve and further develop NRC for the next and coming years.
Thank you all - we are looking forward to see you again! 
Preconference
(13.05.07) The welcome meeting starts at 16.30 at the SAS Radisson Royal Hotel, Bryggen. At 18.00 we will attend a boat trip to Holmen outside Bjorøya, please bring some warm clothes. We will have dinner at Cornelius, a famous sea food restaurant. Welcome!
(22.03.07) The Norwegian Medical Association (Den norske lægeforening) has approved NRC 2007 as "18 hours of optional course for all specialities". This is an important acceptance and qualification of the NRC conference. All participant will receive a certificate for their attendance.
Norwegian physicians can apply for reimbursement of travel cost and hotel from "utdanningsfond III" at NMA, for hospital based physicians. Please find the application form and instructions at Lægeforeningen.
(02.03.07) We are proud to present some very interesting lectures of general research interest that have been confirmed the last week e.g.; Hans Gregersen will present the successful Aalborg story: "How to encourage and support research at a University Hospital", and Annette Jørgensen will present "Monitoring of researcher initiated trials".
The varied program is completed, 19 speakers are coming to make this an interesting venue for you; so please register for NRC 2007;
Welcome to Bergen!
We will meet in Bergen in May for a conference with many inspiring lectures, fruitful discussions and ample time to meet with colleagues from the other Nordic countries.
Whether you are a researcher, a manager or otherwise involved in medical research, this is your opportunity to get an update on what is happening in University Hospitals in our Nordic countries. Hopefully it will give you new ideas how to stimulate the research at your own institution.
The overall theme of the conference is: Frontline Medical Research - a University Hospital Challenge.
We will focus both on the scientific results and on the challenges the research groups are facing. Our hope is that we, in this manner, will bring all the various topics of the NRC conference together so that you will be both inspired and get practical knowledge on how to stimulate research in your own environment.
The program is still evolving, but in this newsletter you will find updated information on the different subjects, about the speakers, about the NRC-network and about how to register.
