About NRC 2006

The 1st Nordic University Hospital Research Conference (NRC) took place at the beautiful Solstrand Conference Center outside Bergen – Norway, on May 15th - 16th 2006.

Welcome to Bergen

(07.04.06) It is a pleasure for us to invite you to attend the first Nordic University Hospital Research Conference (NRC) and to visit Western Norway in May.

NRC aims to challenge, stimulate and inspire researchers and administrators at University Hospitals throughout the Nordic countries in order to increase the rate of success in medical research.

At the conference we will focus on medical research as part of a complex hospital environment. We have put together a program both to demonstrate the quality of the research, and to show how this excellence is achieved.

Western Norway in May is a perfect framework for the conference. You will find snow capped mountains mirrored in the green water of our fjords and fruit trees overflowing with pink flowers.

We strongly advice you to stay for our national holiday. On the 17th of May the whole country erupts with parades, parties, music and fireworks. We can guarantee an experience you will never forget.
